Creating awareness is no longer enough. To change the world, audiences need to be inspired to sit up, take notice and act. We develop content that drives positive action. From awareness and understanding, to feeling empowered to making a difference, we tell stories that matter by deeply connecting viewers and readers to different perspectives.
Unlike a corporate brand that may simply want to be perceived as more ethical, charities are in their essence ethical and values-based. As a result, any content produced must be created with incredibly high levels of integrity to sustain the purpose of their brand.
Content is a proven tool for raising a charity profile. We use our expertise to stretch limited budgets for the biggest impact. With impressive results - our videos and copy have been viewed tens of thousands of times - we help to attract donations, volunteers and press coverage for our clients.
Feltham Prison wanted to attract support and participation to their employment and education programmes. We stretched a very limited budget to produce an eleven-minute documentary by getting in depth with the programme users and its volunteers.
The candid interviews we captured raised additional funds, attracted more employers willing to give young people a chance, and encouraged droves of young offenders to seek job training. Aptly, the film premiered at halftime at Fulham’s stadium in 2016.
Blood cancer charity Anthony Nolan is constantly in need of new bone and stem cell donors. We wrote a series of articles to inspire readers to become donors by sharing the personal accounts of volunteers who are already helping to save lives. Originally created for the charity’s website, the articles were picked up and published by the Evening Standard, Daily Mail and Metro.
Mumsnet launched the Let Girls be Girls campaign to challenge the advertising industry’s sexualisation of young children. As both advertisers and parents, this is an issue we feel especially close to. We supported the initiative with a passionate short film that went viral, attracting more than 10,000 views and triggering widespread debate. The film was nominated for two awards, including best short at the Underwire Film Festival.
Translating passion into action is easier when you have a network. Our 30-minute documentary followed a group of activists through the UK Feminista summer programme as they inspired each other and tested new ways to drive social change. “Summer School” was screened at the Southbank’s WOW Festival.
JUBILEE DEBT CAMPAIGN
Jubilee Debt Campaign’s mission is to bring an end to poverty caused by unjust debt. When they launched the Dodgy Deals initiative in2010, we collaborated with comedian Mark Thomas to produce a punchy short that brought home to UK viewers how their taxes were being used to fund human rights violations around the world. The film premiered at Glastonbury Festival.
GIVE AS YOU LIVE
We created a series of web advertisements for the innovative Give As You Live app. Our films and web content showcased how the app makes it easy for consumers to exert their influence over brands and decide how they should meet their corporate social responsibility. Our campaign helped Give As You Live to boost donations to over £9.5 million.
BIRDS EYE VIEW
Having previously worked on Bird’s Eye View’s short film programming committee, we’re delighted to return this year to support their Reclaim the Frame influencer campaign, designed to increase diversity in film. We’ve been producing content from expert-led blogs to film reviews, and are pleased to count ourselves as alumni on their inaugural Filmonomics programme.
We’re an award-winning content agency with copy, film and social media in our mix. We show and tell engaging stories for savvy brands, global agencies, leading publications and the UK’s biggest film funders.
We help brands respond to the needs of their changing audience, ethically and effectively. Offering creative solutions and compelling stories backed by a clear-cut strategy, our content team helps you connect, converse and create profitable friends for life.
